Doug Everard

Doug has a special interest in assisting those with learning difficulties, initially sparked by the fact that his elder son suffers from a complex learning and language disorder. Together with his wife and younger son, Doug has established a Trust in 2006 to cater for him to live as independently as possible in his own home, supported by a team of up to six personal assistants.

As a Cranfield Volunteer, Doug was asked to assist Ormerod in a strategic review in 2008/9, reflecting the need for the organisation to adjust to the changing commissioning environment. Having completed that assignment, Doug was invited to become a Trustee, which he was delighted to accept.

Doug is an independent consultant specialising in strategic development and commercialisation in the low carbon energy sector, including interim project direction and management, business start-up and financing, policy advice and EU funding for large and small scale technologies.
